Abstract, as submitted

How do you apply platform engineering when your platform is running on private cloud? I estimate that there’s around 50% of enterprise apps running on private clouds and yet few people talk about platform engineering for private platforms. In this talk, I’ll go over real-world examples and stories of how large organizations are doing just that. The challenges here come from working with existing processes and IT stacks. Most organizations can’t simply start from scratch, and, indeed, it’d be a terrible idea to throw out all the stuff that’s currently making all the money. If you support your organization’s apps, platform engineering is something you’ll probably be doing soon. So, come hear how your peers are doing it and share your experiences with us.
